A little note about TOO Cute!
We are located in the country about 45 minutes north of Cincinnati, Ohio!
We started out by visiting Feather Friends Forever Exotic Bird Rescue located in Appling Georgia. We spent 8 hours our first day with Ron and Tammy Johnson and came back the next day for another 4 hours. We first contacted Ron about a adopting a male African Grey, but went home with 2 beautiful female Umbrella Cockatoos, Chipper & Angel. During our time spent there we learned many heartbreaking stories these birds endured BEFORE coming to live at the rescue. Seeing the birds NOW living happily and free in outdoor flights, FLYING as birds should, we were hooked and knew we had to do something more to help. By opening our hearts to a few more lost and wounded birds here in Ohio, we soon found our home full of loving feathered family members. Ron Johnson is the reason, as his unique ability to speak to and heal the birds is amazing, spend one day with him and you will see! |
Whats up with all the abandoned & abused TOOS?
Cockatoos, Cockatoos, Cockatoos!! Why are Cockatoos ( TOO’s for short) the most neglected, abused & abandoned parrot of all? Well, the answer is simple, they are birds! They are meant to be flying free in their own flock family. They stay with or vocally in touch with each other 24/7! This is why they scream for you CONSTANTLY in a very loud vocalization that pierces your ears! Lets talk about that totally cuddly loving white ball of snuggles.. well it does NOT grow up.. it gets bigger yes, but it needs you more & more & more. Think of having your child stay TWO FOREVER! Oh & did I mention.. they live almost 100 years! You see they need you NOW & FOREVER! The commitment is FOREVER!! Get real people! TOO’s are the neediest parrot on the planet! The reason we love them is the very reason most people give them up or abuse them! That is why TOO’s should NOT be bought! If you are a very rare breed of people that live outside the norm then you may be the type of person that can adopt a TOO from a rescue! PLEASE DO NOT BUY & SUPPORT THE SENSELESS BREEDING OF THIS PARROT! Thank you! :-) |
